I don't know about the legality of the ROMs for these emulators, though, so you will have to find them yourself (it's not that hard). Mac user should definitly use VMWare Fusion to run install Win 95/98/XP, choose free / personnal edition. In fact MS-DOS was initially a port of CP/M to the 8086 CPU used in the original IBM PC. It was minimal compared to operating systems like Unix or OSX (or even Windows). It ran at frameskip 5 or something on the Pentium 120 I tried it out on, but if you have a newer computer you should be fine. Anex86 is a PC98 emulator for Windows that surprisingly has a GUI that's in English, so you don't have to blow your mind trying to figure out what you're doing.
